Typical Monday

I really don't have anything to post about I just want that picture of myself in the post below to not be on top. Whoa. That was a run-on sentence.
Lilian gets her second dose of the flu vaccine today. And we are in the midst of eating trouble. It's so hard to understand what textures and flavors she will eat. It sucks that it takes so much time for me to prepare her food, just to find out that she doesn't want to eat it. ((sigh)) It stresses me out. So any mom's out there wanna share what they give their little ones to eat? Please. I'm desperate. Lili loves white rice, broccoli, chicken, turkey, and any other vegtable as long as it's chopped up. If I try to give her any other type of noodles or grains...she spits it out. I even tried mixing vegtables and meat with mashed sweet potato...that was a no go. She also loves mac'n cheese, and those little meals that Ge.r.ber makes, but how healthy can those really be?
Any ways, my main concern is to get her to eat healthy, and not the same thing over and over again, ya know? So if you have any ideas......help me. Thanks.

  1. Hi Lari! If she doesn't like noodles, but likes rice, maybe try orzo pasta (it's shaped like rice right?) My mom used to make me pastina too (those tiny little stars). Yummy. Don't know if that helps...

  2. Oh, I was also thinking, have you tried giving her some avacado? My little cousin likes to eat little chucks of avacado. Que yum!

  3. Any more I usually give Jillian whatever I'm having but in smaller pieces. And luckily I don't seem to have a picky eater on my hand. Good luck!

  4. I cook the pasta in chicken stock and Tyler loves it. I usually use wheat elbow pasta or small shells.

  5. *sigh* I'm having the same problems. Even stuff Delilah liked the first time she tried she'll spit out. And I can't get her to eat solid veggies for the life of me. She just spits those out :-\
