So I spent allllllllll day calling repair shops, insurance companies, my bank and detailing companies.........did I mention it was
all day?! So here is where I am at. My insurance company will only release me a check with my name and my lien holder's name on it. Therefore I cannot directly cash or deposit the check, I have to send the check to my lien holder.....all the way in California. Then inturn they cut me a check, but only after I get the work done to my car out of pocket, take before and after pictures and get satisfaction letters fax all that over and then they will cut me a check. FIRST OF ALL, I don't have the money to do this work out of pocket...isn't that the point of insurance?! They are supposed to help with damage you can't afford to fix? Second, I can't wait 7-10 days for something to get done to my car, I don't have a garage to store my car in, all I have is a tarp to cover the blown out window! I
really really hope something works out, because this is the only car that Lilian's car seat can go in. My husband car is a little older and you have to hook up the car seat by seat belts and it's not as tight/secure and her car seat wobble's on turns. Plus I love this car, it's my baby. ((sigh)) Here are some pictures of my car. At first my windshield was shattered, but partially intact, but I opened my front passenger door and than closed it, then my whole windshield came crashing in.....nice.

I am so sorry Larissa. That is horrible and I can't believe your insurance company is acting like that. Oh wait....yes I can, they are insurance people. UGH!!!! I sure hope something gets worked out soon. I would keep calling and DEMAND that THEY (insurance) pays for the damages and cuts the check to the detail shop. After all, that is what you pay them for. If they do not help, tell them you are going to be looking for a new company. Again, I am so sorry :(
ReplyDeleteInsurance people can SUCK big ones, that's all I gotta say. LOL! Sorry this is happening to you girl!
ReplyDeleteAw hun- I'm so sorry! What the heck do you pay the insurance company for?! Sheesh!! I hope things work out & you can get your windshield fixed quickly!
