My morning sucked big time!

So I woke up this morning around six, to a very irritated husband. Lily and I were sleeping in bed, and I hear door slam after door slam. Now I'm not a morning person by any means, especially since I quit smoking cigarettes a year and a half ago, so I am lying in bed trying my best not to go postal on my husband. He stomps into the bedroom, "Your rear windshield is shattered." Great. I honestly was more concerned about waking Lilian, so I asked to be quiet, I don't think he appreciated that.
So I picked up Lilian and put her in her crib and went outside to check out the damage. The whole windshield was destroyed and since we had a storm last night, the whole rear end of my interior was soaked, including Lilian's $350.00 car seat.
I ended up calling my insurance company and reporting the damage and telling them I had no idea what happened, but not excluding the possibility of vandals. So I haven't heard back from my insurance company or when the adjuster is supposed to show up. Just my luck they won't call back or show up and I'll be stuck with a windowless, moldy, stinky car and a ruined car seat. Ugh.

~Update~
You know what I hate?................Insurance companies....bunch-a-jerks.

  1. Aww Larissa that sucks big time!! I hope everything gets taken care of soon!

But, I think you are great for sticking your ground and not smoking anymore though, I relapsed (LOL!) after Mason turned 3 months old! :( I'm sure times like these you wish you could have one! lol

I'm sure it didn't help things that your husband was acting like an ass, mine always does that in the most stressful situations and makes things worse! Freaking men! lol

  2. UGH that sucks! Hopefully they will get your car fixed soon. If it were me I'd rent a rug dr or buy a shopvac/carpet cleaner(if you don't already have one) and suck the standing water out. Maybe even place fans around it to dry. Then put a tarp over it to prevent anything else from getting in. What kind of car do you have?

  3. I have a Nissan Altima. So far I opened all the windows, stuck a fan in there. It started to rain again so I had to close everything and put a tarp over the windshield. I need to find a detailing company that has a machine called an "extractor" I guess so the water can properly be removed.
